There is also a daily service from Glasgow Central station to Helensburgh Upper station. Helensburgh is the birthplace of John Logie Baird, the inventor of television.

We have ample parking area away from the public road.
Dryesdale Guesthouse was built in 1892* and is a former manse to the 'North Parish Church' which was a short 10 minute walk to No. 14 Love St. The church was open for worship in 1888 and closed in1982; it has since been demolished. The first occupants of the house were church ministers: the Rev. James B.D. Young lived in the manse until around 1924 and was followed by Rev. J.R. Merry from 1925 until 1952. Rev. Merry is remembered by many of the local elders.

The house is only10 minutes from the ferries to the Argyll coast and the Isles. Inverkip has it's own rail station which has direct links to Glasgow Central Station and you can be in the city centre in less than 45 minutes.

The Bield is a large Victorian house built of sandstone in 1900. Our Bed and Breakfast rooms are decorated to a high standard and we have a comfortable guest lounge to relax in. We have tried to keepand restore as many of its original features. We have private off road parking for our guests and we are able to provide safe storage for bikes. The house overlooks the lovely village of Aberfoyle in the Trossachs Scotland, with all its wonderful scenery.
