If you have energy to spare, there are tennis courts close by, kayaking, sailing or windsurfing opportunities, or you might like to walk some of the fascinating trails around the town or coast. Just a few miles inland from Teignmouth and Dawlish lies Dartmoor with its fascinating scenery and walks. Torquay, Paignton, Brixham and Totnes are among the many interesting towns to visit - all within a short distance.
For the serious walker Teignmouth sits on the coastal path stretching the length of the Devon coastline and for golfers there are several excellent courses within a few miles radius, both links and parkland.
