About the Business
Sinai House was built in 1850 as a gentleman's residence, for the Lord Mayor of London. It became a hotel in the 1930's and a guest house in the 1960's. We bought Sinai House in 2011 and have redecorated and updated all of the bedrooms and bathrooms. We have kept the décor to be sympathetic with the age of the property. While it is a guest house it is our family home too, so you will find a few bits and pieces from our time living abroad.
The house is built into the hillside of Sinai Hill so offers the most incredible sea views over to Wales and Exmoor to Countersbury Hill and Big Red. We have 8 rooms in total, 5 double rooms all en-suite, 1 twin room with en- suite and 2 single rooms with private toilets. The guest lounge is quiet and relaxing with a swap library, games cupboard, large comfy chairs and sofas where you can meet friends and make new ones!
